Our satins have a luxurious silk-like feel. This fabric is characterised by its lustrous surface and soft drape.

Hand-Washing Satin

Satin must be treated with great care and attention to avoid damage when washing. We recommend that you hand wash only.

  • Turn your garment inside out before washing.
  • Fill the sink with cool water and add a delicate fabric detergent.
  • Immerse your garment into the water and leave to soak for 20 minutes.
  • Rinse with cool water through your garment until the water runs clear.
  • Do not leave rolled-up wet after hand washing.
  • Do not machine wash.
Drying Satin
  • Remove excess water by placing the garment between a dry-towel and gently press the water out.
  • Do not wring the satin fabric.
  • Keep you satins away from direct sunlight to keep the shine and lay flat or hang to air dry, using a padded hanger.
  • Do not tumble-dry.
Pressing Satin

Once dry, iron to remove obvious creases.

  • Use the lowest heat setting.
  • Iron the inside of your garment or place a cotton cloth over the area to protect the fabric.
Storing Satin

Satin should be stored in a cool, dry place. Be mindful of clips as they can mark the fabric.
